Season 2 of Shogun is currently in development, and fans of the acclaimed novel by James Clavell are equal parts anxious and excited to see how FX will proceed with the series while going off-book. Debuting in 2024, Shogun was the hit drama of the year, sweeping up at the Emmys earlier this year and dominating the pop-cultural conversation.

HBO's The Penguin set a new standard for comic book TV adaptations when it was released in late 2024. The series brought back Colin Farrell's Oz Cobb from Matt Reeves' The Batman, giving him his own The Sopranos-esque series detailing his rise through the ranks of Gotham City's criminal underworld. The moment the credits rolled on the shocking finale, all eyes were on showrunner Lauren LeFranc as to whether a second season would be greenlit.

The weird and wonderful mind of Hideo Kojima will soon move away from the world of video games, as Death Stranding has just been greenlit for a new anime adaptation. Kojima, the lauded video game creator behind the Metal Gear series, released Death Stranding, a trippy open-world adventure set in a post-apocalyptic America, in 2019 to incredible acclaim from fans and critics. The game is widely considered to be one of the creator's best, and it's already been greenllit for one adaptation.

For a franchise titled Rush Hour, developments on a fourth entry in the series are ironically taking a long time. Rush Hour 4 has been in rumored development for so long, that even its star, Jackie Chan, is getting impatient. The actor, who stars alongside Chris Tucker in the beloved action comedy franchise, hopes Rush Hour will live up to its namesake and move forward quickly on the fourth film's development.

Free Solo is one of my favorite documentaries of all-time. To get to speak to Jimmy Chin and Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi was absolutely phenomenal. Check out Endurance when it drops on National Geographic and Disney+ on Nov. 1. It's mind blowing!
