I write about movies and TV and cry when a new reboot gets announced. I sometimes interview actors and often interview myself in the mirror. @movieweb

The Star Wars: Visions anthology series has been a breath of fresh air for long-time fans who weren't impressed by the recent sequel trilogy. But, it appears that Disney and LucasFilm love the animated anthology series as much as fans do, because one of the best short films from the show, titled "The Ninth Jedi," is being adapted into a new series.

WARNING! Major spoilers ahead for The Last of Us Season 2, Episode 2 (if you hadn't guessed from the title)! The episode of The Last of Us Season 2 that video games had been dreading finally arrived. We were all left heartbroken at the end of Episode 2 as Ellie (Bella Ramsay), Dina (Isabela Merced), and Jesse (Young Mazino) dragged Joel's (Pedro Pascal) corpse back to their settlement in Jackson, Wyoming.

Star Wars truly is a franchise built around nostalgia, as another fan-favorite character from a past trilogy could be making an unexpected comeback. The prequel trilogy, beginning with The Phantom Menace in 1999 and ending with Revenge of the Sith in 2005, gave fans many iconic characters, lines, and memes to fall in love with. But, few are more iconic than Samuel L. Jackson as Mace Windu.

That's a wrap on the DCU's Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, as actor David Krumholtz recently revealed that he has wrapped his scenes on the film.. Milly Alcock plays Kara Zor-El, a.k.a. the titular Supergirl, in the movie, alongside Jason Momoa as the space-faring, motorcycle-riding bounty hunter, Lobo, with Krumholtz playing Zor-El, the father of Supergirl and uncle to Superman. To celebrate wrapping production, Krumholtz shared a BTS photo on Instagram.

The range of manga authors needs to be studied. Slam Dunk‘s Takehiko Inoue also wrote Vagabond, and Tatsuki Fujimoto bounced between Chainsaw Man and heartbreaking one-shots like Look Back. Uoto is the latest mangaka to have their incredible range brought to life in anime form as their sports series, Hyakuemu, is being adapted into a new movie. Given Uoto’s previous work on Orb: On the Movements of the Earth, it’ll surely be a release to follow closely.

Free Solo is one of my favorite documentaries of all-time. To get to speak to Jimmy Chin and Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi was absolutely phenomenal. Check out Endurance when it drops on National Geographic and Disney+ on Nov. 1. It's mind blowing!
