Intel’s Lunar Lake processors are off to a positive start, with widespread acclaim from the press and critics. It is the chipmaker’s first mainline family to be almost entirely fabbed by TSMC (N3B for CPU & N6 for iGPU). The same likely applies to Arrow Lake-S, slated to launch in the coming month as the Core Ultra 200 processors for desktop and DIY segments.

We’re edging closer to the launch of Intel’s Arrow Lake-S processors, the first true generational upgrade since Alder Lake-S (Nov 2021). The chipmaker is expected to launch the Core Ultra 200 (previously, 15th Gen) CPUs sometime in mid-to-late October, so it won’t be long before we see them in action. Interestingly, while the specifications are more or less known, few benchmark scores have surfaced. The leaked results include V-Ray 6 (via HXL) and Cinebench R23, both rendering tests.

Intel’s Core i9-13900K is the most heavily affected by the voltage instability/degradation bug that plagues all 13th and 14th Gen K-series Raptor Lake processors. We’ve extensively covered this issue in the past as it affected five of our own SKUs, including multiple RMAs. You can go through those reports here. A few months after Intel’s latest mitigation (not fixed), we observed a sudden drop in the 13900K’s price in the Indian market. We’re talking about a drop of up to 20%, from 50K to ~40K INR.

According to the latest rumors, NVIDIA’s next-gen GeForce RTX 5090 will feature a TBP (Total Board Power) of up to 600W. The tip comes from well-reputed tipster @kopite7kimi who claims that the Blackwell gaming flagship will have a peak power rating of 600W. That’s 150W higher than the RTX 4090, the fastest gaming graphics card. Meanwhile, the RTX 5080 will allegedly come with a TBP of 400W, up from 320W on the RTX 4080 and the 4080 Super.
