By Ari [email protected] EYE — One could point to many moments that made the difference in an overtime Tomahawk-Valley Conference crossover boys basketball game between Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s and Nicollet on Monday. But perhaps none were bigger than St. Marys’ Tyler Mathiowetz hitting two 3-pointers early in the overtime period in a game they won by exactly 6 points, 83-77.

By Ari [email protected] — Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s did a lot of things well in its 10-0 nonconference baseball win over Mankato Loyola in six innings Friday at ISG Field. The team collected 12 total hits on offense and did not commit a single error on defense, two things which rarely lead to losses in prep baseball. However, it was Mark Anderson’s performance on the mound that really stood out in the game, as the fastballer struck out 10 and allowed just one hit in the game.
