The game was one sided until 35 min when a Santiago Canyon player took a shot at the edge of the box. A Cerritos player tried to head it away but it went into her own net allowing an own goal.

The Writers Guild of Great Britain (WGGB) has sent guidance to its striking members, reminding them not to appear on US shows while on strike. The Guild has issued a statement to the press outlining guidelines for members and the situation with UK writers and expressing solidarity with the WGA. WGGB members have already been told they will be removed from the guild if they accept a job in the WGA’s legal field during the strike.

Harvey Weinstein is appealing in Los Angeles after a second conviction, after a jury convicted him of sexual assault and rape and a judge sentenced him to 16 years. Weinstein has hired California-based attorney, Michael Freedman, to work with Jennifer Bonjean, the criminal defense attorney who overturned Bill Cosby’s conviction, and to serve as lead counsel for Weinstein’s West Coast appeal.

The University of Edinburgh said it was “disappointed” after it was forced to cancel screenings of a film that explores the conflict between women’s rights and transgender ideology. Adult Human Female, an independent feature film by Reality Matters, was scheduled to premiere on Wednesday. Still, the University of Edinburgh canceled the event after transgender rights advocates protested outside the Gordon Aikman Lecture Theatre.

The Blacklist and the GM Incubator Fund announced the launch of a new scriptwriter-led short film program that will provide two aspiring and diverse filmmakers with $100,000 to produce short films based on their scripts. General Motors will give both selected filmmakers with vehicles to use in their short films. The short films will eventually be submitted to major festivals for consideration at the 2024 Awards Ceremony.

Actor Alec Baldwin, who was recently charged for the death of cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins, after accidentally shooting her with a gun on the set of Rust, has new information detailed. Rust prosecutors have announced they are dropping a five-year drop gun enhancement against Baldwin. Prosecutors have dropped a five-year gun enhancement after the defense argued that the law didn’t apply at the time of the shooting on the set of the movie.
