A man is dead after he was swept into the water while fishing at a brook in Hudson, New Hampshire, authorities confirmed Sunday.New Hampshire State Police - Marine Patrol told WCVB-TV sister station WMUR-TV that the 65-year-old man was swept into the water of Beaver Brook in Hudson while fishing with a friend by a bridge. Officers and Marine Patrol recovered the man's body and are working to identify him. Hudson police worked to resuscitate the man for 20 minutes to no avail, authorities said.

Police in Portsmouth are trying to track down a raccoon believed to be rabid after they said it bit a man Tuesday in a Market Basket parking lot. The man was taken to a hospital to get checked and will likely start getting rabies shots, police said. Officers said they had been getting reports all week of a raccoon going after people in the area. On Monday, police received reports of a raccoon that looked like it was rabid near Hannaford.

A Superior Court judge has dismissed Volodymyr Zhukovskyy's request to restore his driving privileges on New Hampshire roads. The ruling, released Tuesday evening, means Zhukovskyy will remain off the road until 2026. Zhukovskyy had his driving privileges suspended for seven years following a 2019 crash in Randolph in which seven motorcyclists were killed.
