    Celina’s 2023 Small Town Pride — the rural community’s third — was a big win for LGBTQ+ joy and visibility in more politically conservative communities. But behind the scenes, organizers have faced months of ongoing threats of violence, intimidation and online harassment, mostly from white supremacists and anti-LGBTQ+ Christians. Unless we educate and rally our fellow Ohioans to show up and vote against a cruel constitutional amendment, the outcome could seal the fate for citizen-initiated progress forever, including the future issuance of same-sex marriage licenses. This isn’t political hyperbole. This is real.
