Conducted in 2023, but still relevant today, the study titled: “Peer Pressure and Risky Sexual Behaviour among High School Students in Central Kampala, Uganda,” was conducted by Rogers Namwiyiriri as the Principal Investigator.

Kampala, Uganda — Researchers from Uganda and Canada have released a startling report detailing rampant prevalence of teenage motherhood in Uganda. The groundbreaking study, titled “Motherhood in Adolescence: Voices from the Margins,” was conducted by scholars from the University of Victoria, Canada, Makerere University, and the Nascent Research and Development Organisation (NRDO-U) in the particularly in the Iganga and Kawempe regions.

Kampala, Uganda – A new systematic review conducted by researchers in Uganda and the UK has found that Black Africans newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes (T2D) tend to be younger and have lower body mass index (BMI). They also discovered that this category struggles with poorer glycemic control compared to their White European counterparts. Davis Kibirige led them from the Department of Medicine, Uganda Martyrs Hospital Lubaga, Kampala, Uganda.
