Michael Clarke and Stephen Fleming were both addressing the press. The former was in Mumbai answering questions on a Zoom call, the latter was doing the same in person in Chennai. The former Australia captain had no clue what the former New Zealand skipper and current Chennai Super Kings head coach was saying and vice-versa. Without giving it a second thought, Clarke declared 43-year-old MS Dhoni the best keeper-batter in the world five years after his retirement.

Versatile. Consistency. Grind. Pressure. Conditions. Respect. Read these words in isolation; they make little sense but equate them to B Sai Sudharsan, and you will get an outline of sorts. It's not a surprise that Sudharsan used these words the most during a select media interaction. They give an idea of how he is as a cricketer and person. The one word he missed was visionary.

Diwali knocked on Shashank Singh's door a few days before its scheduled arrival last year. Punjab Kings CEO Satish Menon and general manager Ashish Tuli came as messengers of good fortune when preparations for the festival of lights were in full swing. Sudharshan is making the right noises

One good season in IPL is unlikely to be enough but Sai Sudharsan is ready to put in the hard yards to get his spot back in the Indian team. Interview by @aritram029 #SaiSudharsan #IPL2025 #TeamIndia https://t.co/42MJYtFuzp

Spot on! Vipraj burned the stage for UP this season. Ashutosh has been a gun T20 finisher for quite some time now. Even LSG youngsters are not that bad. Prince showed a lot of promise in the Delhi league. He'll need more experience.

The amount of hidden talents that you get to unravel during IPL only means one thing --- you don't follow Indian domestic cricket at all.
