Kiyoshi Mio-Imagn Images My guess is that Ime Udoka will play his starters tonight. I just don’t think they’ll play for very long. After resting six regulars in Los Angeles on Wednesday, I doubt the Houston Rockets will rest all of those players again.

Jason Parkhurst-Imagn Images The Los Angeles Clippers are 14-3 over their last 17 games. The Houston Rockets are 3-0 against the Clippers this season, but have not played against the Clippers at full strength (read: with a healthy Kawhi Leonard). The Clippers are firmly in the glut of teams fighting to stay out of the play-in in the West, while Houston is locked into the 2 seed after the Oklahoma City Thunder took care of business against the Los Angeles Lakers last night.

Thomas Shea-Imagn Images The Golden State Warriors are on a roll. The Dubs have won five straight games, including the last three games coming against teams ahead of them (at the time) in the standings. That streak continues tonight when they take on another team ahead of them, the 2 seed Houston Rockets. The Warriors have already wrapped up the season series tiebreaker against Houston. They would need to win out and would need to see the Rockets lose out to catch them in the standings.

Alonzo Adams-Imagn Images The Oklahoma City Thunder might win 70 games. Their remaining schedule sets up fairly nicely, with three games against teams below .500 (Phoenix, New Orleans, and Utah) and two of their three “tough” games coming at home. Those two home games are both against the Los Angeles Lakers, which means that Houston Rockets fans will undoubtedly be pulling incredibly hard for the Thunder to sweep both games.

Rob Gray-Imagn Images Tonight marks what will likely be the final game of the season in which the Houston Rockets are favored. Unfortunately, it comes against a Utah Jazz team that has played extremely well against Houston in both matchups this season in Salt Lake City. Houston needs tonight’s win to stay ahead of the oncoming Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers. However, Houston is comfortably in position to have homecourt advantage in their first round series.

The waited for the game to be over to foul out Draymond. This is so obvious.

This is so tough for Rockets, Timberwolves, and Grizzlies fans. The NBA is going to get Steph-LeBron no matter what.
