The agreement between the telco and its partners will see the integration of Nokia’s 5G cloud RAN solution with Nvidia’s Aerial platform. The goal of this integration is “to create a unified accelerated computing infrastructure for hosting both AI and RAN workloads”. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the trio includes the development, testing, and deployment of AI-RAN.

The two firms jointly developed a virtual International Space Station (ISS) with the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) to demonstrate robotic operations inside the virtual ISS. Tokyo-based telco, KDDI, says the demonstration is to take place from April 2025 to October 2025.

Qvantel will deliver BSS and end-to-end managed services for Veon digital operators Jazz in Pakistan, Banglalink in Bangladesh, and Kyivstar in Ukraine. The operators join an ever-increasing strong list of operator partners and other ecosystem players with a mission to deliver common network APIs, based on CAMARA APIs (the open-source project by the GSMA and Linux Foundation), seamlessly to developers and other third-party users on a global scale.
