Gloucester is home to many iconic inventions — among them schooners and a home-grown world-class pipe organ company, which two events this week will celebrate. Up first is a Gloucester Schooner Festival party and fundraiser this Friday, April 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Gloucester House Restaurant, 63 Rogers St., with proceeds going to support the 41st Gloucester Schooner Festival this September. A $40 suggested donation can be pre-purchased or paid at the door.
