That may not be their point. However, their unintentional point may be, there is no such thing as Canadian nationalism. Even when threatened by the big bad Donald Trump.

I read this twice, and if you held a gun to my head, I don't think I could tell you in concrete terms what Canadian cultural nationalism should in fact look like.

"Scholars" might be a bit of a stretch. How about "academics drenched in self-importance"?
