Celebrating the achievement of Class of 2025’s athletes continuing their athletic careers at the collegiate level, the MVHS Student Athletic Senate held a Division 1 National Signing Day Ceremony during lunch on Wednesday, Nov. 13 in the rally court. Three senior athletes — Davina Huang, committed to Harvard University for swimming, Clara Fan, committed to Brown University for track and field, and Ethan Lien, committed to UC San Diego for golf — were honored during this ceremony.

Varsity Girls Tennis defeated Los Gatos High School 6-1 on Tuesday, Oct. 29. With the match being the last home game of the season, the tennis team celebrated its seniors by decorating the courts with purple and gold streamers and balloons, as well as gifting them personalized baskets and posters. Senior and doubles player Varsha Iyengar says due to it being Senior Night, the team was more energetic than usual, which increased confidence among the players.

MVHS Students wore pink and participated in activities to help raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month ASB Leadership hosted a pink-out spirit day on Friday, Oct. 25 in the Rally Court to raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Observed every October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month emphasizes early detection, support for patients and funding for research.
