The Supreme Court on Thursday allowed the National Board of Examinations (NBE) to conduct the NEET PG 2025 examination on August 3. The court was hearing the NBE's plea seeking an extension of the exam date. A bench led by Justice PK Mishra questioned the exam body and the Centre over the delay, asking why the test could not be conducted in the second or third week of July. "Why do you need two more months? This will delay the entire admission process," the court observed.

New Delhi: The Supreme Court has refused to make public the findings of the court-appointed panel into the alleged cash recovery from the house of former Delhi High Court judge Justice Yashwant Varma, through the RTI mechanism. Former Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna had forwarded the findings along with a letter to the President and the Prime Minister. The court has also refused to release a copy of that letter.
