    FAIRFIELD, Ala. (WBRC) - One college in Jefferson County will be able to do more to ensure the success of their students. The Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham has awarded $50,000 to Miles College as part of it’s 2025 Grant Cycle I. The money will be used to support the expansion of the college’s Workforce and College Completion Project.

    TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WBRC) - Fans of the University of Alabama’s Vault A logo will soon be able to add that touch of vintage to their license plate. UA unveiled a new license plate design with a throwback look, including the Vault A logo that was retired in 1998 after 25 years. According to the university, more that 120,000 University of Alabama vehicle and motorcycle tags were sold in the state during the 2024-2025 fiscal year, contributing $2.5 million toward undergraduate and graduate scholarships.
