The next county attorney in San Miguel County is Maura Fahey. Fahey was appointed to the position by the San Miguel Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) on Friday, Sept. 13. Her first day serving in the new position will be on Nov. 13. She will be supervised by an attorney already licensed in Colorado, Lane Thomasson, as Fahey is relocating to the state, has to undergo a background check and is not yet admitted to practice law in Colorado.
