IntroductionAutism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental condition, characterized by social and communication impairments and limited repetitive behavioral features, the prevalence of which is increasing worldwide (1, 2). A recent meta-analysis reported that the prevalence of ASD in China is 26 per 10,000 people and rising (3).
