A London man is facing sexual interference charges after allegedly touching a school-aged girl on multiple occasions at a school in the city’s north end. According to the London Police Service, earlier this month police were made aware of a sexual assault allegation that was reported to have taken place at a school in the city’s north end.

Citing “insufficient staffing,” the emergency department at Chesley’s hospital is closed this weekend. According to a news release from South Bruce Grey Health Centre, the Chesley emergency department is closed as of May 31 and will reopen on June 3 at 7 a.m. During that time, ambulance by-pass has been undertaken to divert patients to the nearest open emergency department.

Over the next decade, Lisa and Dennis Carroll have pledged $1,000 annually in order to establish the Rachel Carroll Wellness Award. The award is in memory of their daughter Rachel, who “possessed a zest for life and a passion for travel.” Rachel suffered traumatic injuries in a car crash while travelling to Costa Rica. According to the release, the trauma team at LHSC played a “pivotal role” in her recovery, which allowed her to chart a new path focus on healing and spirituality.

No serious injuries have been reported after a vehicle crashed into a cannabis shop in the city’s east end Wednesday afternoon. Emergency crews arrived at approximately 2:30 p.m. Wednesday to find a white SUV fully emerged into the storefront of Right Puff Cannabis, located in the area of Commissioners Road East and Adelaide Street South. No serious injuries have been reported. The cause of the crash remains unclear.
