The Pittsburgh Steelers don't have a quarterback under contract for 2025. Russell Wilson, Justin Fields and Kyle Allen are scheduled to become free agents in March. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin says the team is facing some "major discussions" regarding the quarterback position, and what options may be available in free agency and the draft. "It was a really good experience with the three quarterbacks that were on our roster this year, individually and collectively," Tomlin said Tuesday.

A kickoff return for a touchdown by Peters Township High School earns the honors for Operation Football Play of the Week. The score by Nick McCullough was the only TD of the game. It was a 97-yard house call, as Peters Township defeated Upper St. Clair in a WPIAL Class 5A semifinal on Friday night. Steelers vice president Art Rooney Jr., the team's longtime personnel director, is a semifinalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.Rooney was one of nine semifinalists announced Wednesday in the "contributors" category. Diontae Johnson, the former Pittsburgh Steelers receiver, is reportedly headed back to the AFC North.The Carolina Panthers are trading Johnson to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for a fifth-round draft pick, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported. Baltimore would also get a sixth-round pick in the deal.The 28-year-old Johnson has 30 receptions for 357 yards (11.9 average) and three touchdowns in seven games this season.Johnson was a third-round pick by Pittsburgh in the 2019 draft.
