Jimmy Butler was having a season of drama. It all started back during the offseason, when Butler made a comment about the Boston Celtics, who beat the Miami Heat in just five games during the NBA Playoffs and went on the win the NBA Finals. Butler claimed, “If I was playing, Boston would be at home. New York [Knicks] damn sure would be at home. [Knicks head coach Tom] Thibs, you want me.

In a season where low expectations were given, due to it being more of a rebuilding year under new general manager Danny Briere and new president Keith Jones, the Philadelphia Flyers are in third place and have a good chance of making the playoffs. After a disappointing end to the Philadelphia Phillies season last year, they still enter 2024 with high hopes and large expectations to make it back to the big stage. Although the Phillies had a quiet offseason, aside from signing Whit Merrifield, who adds veteran leadership and has the ability to hit the ball to all parts of the field, fans should still be excited since the majority of last year’s squad is coming back. A season where things were going so well for the Philadelphia 76ers quickly turned awry after their best player, Joel Embiid, went down with a knee injury that is keeping him out for six to eight weeks. The Albany FireWolves used the #1 pick in Saturday’s NLL Draft to select Duke star Dyson Williams. The attack led the Blue Devils with 60 goals last season. Albany fans will have to wait another year to see Williams in a FireWolves jersey though. The forward is headed back to Durham for his fifth year of college eligibility. Albany also selected defensemen Nicholas Volkov and Zachary Young in the first round.

What an incredible game to be a part of last night. It certainly felt like an @NLL Finals rematch to me!

Go Bison! Congrats to the boys basketball team on winning a @NYSPHSAA championship!

The Blue Bison (22-3) capture the program's first state championship at the Class AAA level. Two years in a row for Section II winning titles as Green Tech won it all in 2024 in Glens Falls.

Congratulations to @ShakerBisonBB who is headed to the Class AAA @NYSPHSAA championship game!

It's not always pretty...on to the FINALS. Good day to be a bison in central NY @shaker https://t.co/2pTBsoTgFm
