In 1993, Ecosearch, Inc. suggested that O. p. wasatchensis, located at Rainbow Gardens near Ogden, deserved being upgraded to having an endangered status according to the US Endangered Species Act because of its reduced area of occurrence and the depletion of its habitat.

Recap courtesy of Ben BeckerCompeting in their final race before the MIAC Championship Meet, the Cobbers rode the momentum from their outstanding performance at the last meet and had seven runners post a season or personal-best mark at the Tori Neubauer Invitational hosted by Wis.-La Crosse. First-year runner Ashley Nelson bookended the regular season by leading the Cobbers in the first meet and the last meet.

MOORHEAD, Minn. (9/17/24)---Concordia first-year runner Ashley Nelson (Rice, Minn./Sartell HS) was named the MIAC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for her personal-best performance at the season-opening MSU Moorhead Twilight Meet. Nelson becomes the first Cobber women's cross country athlete to win the conference weekly award since Kara Andersen claimed the honor in 2018. Nelson earned the MIAC award by running a time of 18:35.5 over the 5K course at MSUM.

MOORHEAD, Minn. (9/13/24)---For first-year runner, Ashley Nelson, the inaugural meet of her college career was no big deal. Nelson clocked a monster personal-best time to lead Concordia at the season-opening MSU Moorhead Twilight Meet. Nelson was the Cobbers' top finisher from the opening start until the finish line. She covered the 5K course in a time of 18:35.5 which was over a minute faster than her previous PR. That mark was good for a 13th-place finish in a field of 85 athletes.
