PALMER, Mass. (WWLP) – A serious crash in Palmer shut down both directions of the Mass Pike near mile marker 64.5 in Palmer Thursday afternoon. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation, I-90 eastbound, has since reopened to traffic. However, the westbound side remains closed at the crash site as investigators continue to process the scene.

PITTSFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Two suspects were arrested in connection with breaking into vehicles in Pittsfield early Tuesday morning. In a news release from the Pittsfield Police Department, at around 1:30 a.m., officers were called to the area of Robbins Ave for a report of someone inside a victim’s vehicle. The vehicle owner was able to provide police with the suspect’s clothing. A short time later, officers were able to locate a man in the area matching the description.

PITTSFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Ten people have been arrested and charged in connection with a child predator operation conducted by law enforcement in Berkshire County. In a news release from the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office, a two-week-long operation aimed at apprehending child predators was conducted by the Berkshire State Police Detective Unit, assigned to the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office, in collaboration with the Berkshire County Law Enforcement Task Force.

AMHERST, Mass. (WWLP) – An assessment was conducted at Amherst-Pelham Regional Middle School for concerns of mold. In a news release sent to 22News from the school district, an independent indoor air quality study was requested for portions of the ARMS building, which was previously closed to students and staff. In March, the assessment was conducted by Atlas Technical Consultants.

WILBRAHAM, Mass. (WWLP) – Police are looking for drivers caught on camera damaging the roadway on Dollar Ave in Wilbraham last week. In a post on social media by the Wilbraham Police Department, photos were shared of two pickup trucks leaving burnouts, spinning the tires, which causes smoke and roadway damage.
