    PILOT MOUNTAIN, N.C. (WGHP) –The Grand Ole Opry is one of the most world-renowned music venues. Artists from Dolly Parton to Randy Travis to North Carolina’s Luke Combs and Scotty McCreery have performed on that stage. Andrew Millsaps has that same dream. In mid-April, Millsaps and Neon Union member Leo Brooks performed for a hometown crowd during the Pilot Mountain Outdoor and Adventure Expo.

    CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Today will be another beautiful day with below normal temperatures. The official low this morning was 53 at CVG but many locations were in the 40s. Middletown, Hamilton, Springboro, Batavia and Lunken all high 49. It was 48 in Wilmington and Boston was 46. It will be another cool day with a high of 75. The normal high is 85. Thursday we start a slow warming trend with highs in the low 80s. It will remain dry and quiet too.

    CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Today will be not as hot but still humid with a chance for storms in the afternoon. Saturday we made it to 90 degrees which was our 7th day so far this month at or above 90. Today we will make it to 80. However, with the humid air it will still feel warm. Storm chances will increase this afternoon as early as 2pm and continue at times through the afternoon. We do not expect severe weather today. Do be aware of lightning and brief, heavy rain in any of those storms.

    CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Today will be hot and humid with storms possible this afternoon. We have a chance for severe storms too with a slight risk (2/5) in the eastern half of the viewing area and a marginal risk (1/5) west. All modes of severe weather will be possible in some of these storms with damaging winds being the main threat. Even outside of those strong storms, it will be a windy day. The high will be 89 with the heat index well into the 90s.

    CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Today will be nearly identical to yesterday with highs near 80 with plenty of sunshine. The humidity will be low with a light breeze too. Tonight is the first night you can enjoy the Perseid meteor shower. Here is what you need to know to view the meteor shower tonight through Tuesday night: While some reports say you can see 100 meteors an hour it will be more like 10-20 in our area. Get away from city lights and find a more remote place.
