PILOT MOUNTAIN, N.C. (WGHP) –The Grand Ole Opry is one of the most world-renowned music venues. Artists from Dolly Parton to Randy Travis to North Carolina’s Luke Combs and Scotty McCreery have performed on that stage. Andrew Millsaps has that same dream. In mid-April, Millsaps and Neon Union member Leo Brooks performed for a hometown crowd during the Pilot Mountain Outdoor and Adventure Expo.

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Today will be another beautiful day with below normal temperatures. The official low this morning was 53 at CVG but many locations were in the 40s. Middletown, Hamilton, Springboro, Batavia and Lunken all high 49. It was 48 in Wilmington and Boston was 46. It will be another cool day with a high of 75. The normal high is 85. Thursday we start a slow warming trend with highs in the low 80s. It will remain dry and quiet too.

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Today will be not as hot but still humid with a chance for storms in the afternoon. Saturday we made it to 90 degrees which was our 7th day so far this month at or above 90. Today we will make it to 80. However, with the humid air it will still feel warm. Storm chances will increase this afternoon as early as 2pm and continue at times through the afternoon. We do not expect severe weather today. Do be aware of lightning and brief, heavy rain in any of those storms.

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Today will be hot and humid with storms possible this afternoon. We have a chance for severe storms too with a slight risk (2/5) in the eastern half of the viewing area and a marginal risk (1/5) west. All modes of severe weather will be possible in some of these storms with damaging winds being the main threat. Even outside of those strong storms, it will be a windy day. The high will be 89 with the heat index well into the 90s.

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Today will be nearly identical to yesterday with highs near 80 with plenty of sunshine. The humidity will be low with a light breeze too. Tonight is the first night you can enjoy the Perseid meteor shower. Here is what you need to know to view the meteor shower tonight through Tuesday night: While some reports say you can see 100 meteors an hour it will be more like 10-20 in our area. Get away from city lights and find a more remote place.

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - This weekend will be picture perfect with dry and sunny weather. The high today and tomorrow will be in the upper 70s. That’s well below the normal high of 86. We haven’t had a high in the 70s since June 11th. It will be near perfect weather for the Bengals preseason game which kicks off at 7pm. You can watch that on Fox19 if you are not going to the game in person. Monday we will see a small chance for rain, mainly in the evening hours with highs in the low 80s.
Splash n’ Dash returns to Silverlake this weekend

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - The weather this weekend looks great, so why not go for a swim and a run? This weekend, the Silverlake Splash ‘N Dash is back after a bit of a hiatus. You can swim and run and it is all to support a good cause. Silverlake in Erlanger is a fitness and family fun center with an outdoor water park and indoor pool too. Participants on Saturday can splash in the indoor pool swimming 250 meters. Then they will run or walk a 5k ending back at Silverlake. It all benefits a local charity.
Hundreds participate in congenital heart defect walk at Cincinnati Zoo

CINCINNATI (WXIX) -Many people walked Saturday at the Cincinnati Zoo in memory or in honor of someone they know with a congenital heart defect, CHD. The Cincinnati Congenital Heart Walk is one of many events held nationwide to unite individuals affected by the country’s most common birth defect. It is a walk that raises millions of dollars to fund heart research. According to Medline Plus, a congenital heart defect occurs when the baby’s heart does not develop normally during pregnancy.

With less sunshine it will be cooler but still humid with a high of 86. There are plenty of outdoor events this weekend including the Reds in town, Luke Combs concert, Goetta Fest continues, and much more. Tomorrow will be warm and slightly humid. high 91.

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Today will be more humid with highs in the upper 80s to near 90. It will feel warmer than that with the heat index in the 90s. Storm chances will arrive this afternoon as early as 2pm and ending around sunset. Storms are not expected to be severe but we will see some heavy rain at times and lightning. Monday will be slightly cooler with highs in the mid 80s. We will have another chance for storms in the afternoon.
