Heat alerts return to North Texas NORTH TEXAS – After two weeks of less heat than usual for North Texas, temperatures are now set to soar through at least the first week of August. The Dallas-Fort Worth area is under a heat advisory from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday. The heat index, or how it actually feels outside, will reach as high as 107 degrees by Monday afternoon.

NORTH TEXAS – North Texans will experience one more day of thunderstorms before an entirely new weather pattern starts on Wednesday. Thunderstorms in West Texas on Tuesday morning will gradually move east and impact the Dallas-Fort Worth area mainly in the afternoon and early evening hours. You'll need the umbrella before heading out for the day.

Rain chances start out the work week for North Texans NORTH TEXAS – After mainly dry weather across North Texas over the weekend, scattered thunderstorms return today. The morning will be mostly dry before a 40% chance of storms develops in the afternoon. Most of the activity will move out of the region before sunset which is shortly after 8:30 p.m. Severe weather is not likely in North Texas today but gusty winds and hail are almost always a threat with thunderstorms in June.

NORTH TEXAS — Clear skies will last throughout the weekend for North Texas with rain-free weather on Friday, Saturday, and most of Sunday. Temperatures will remain above normal for the second weekend in June. You can expect high temperatures in the 90s. A chance for showers and thunderstorms returns Sunday evening and by Monday there is a good chance for showers and a few thunderstorms. Somewhat cooler weather arrives on Monday with 80s for most of next week.
