Life can be cruel, and the world is often unfair. These sentiments can break us, or we can try to power through and find the good amidst the turmoil and despair, clinging to it as best we can. Doing so with those we trust who can look out for us and vice versa makes all the difference. Such is the premise behind traditional RPG Beloved Rapture, a message it manages to beautifully convey despite a rushed final portion and some other caveats.

Paper Perjury is a visual novel mystery game that wears its inspiration on its sleeve. Simply looking at screenshots and trailers, one can tell that the developers are fans of Capcom’s beloved Ace Attorney series. Yet any game that mirrors another so closely is liable to get scrutinized. Does Paper Perjury do enough to stand on its own merits?

There’s magic in stories, especially tales that exalt the power of bonds and the different, wondrous forms love takes. Fairy Tail 2 wholeheartedly embraces that magic in an action RPG encompassing the final story arc of the hit anime/manga series and beyond. Fairy Tail fans might readily fall under the game’s spell, provided they temper their expectations. I must preface this review by admitting I’m unfamiliar with Fairy Tail.

Can an innocent sin be forgiven, or must its punishment be eternal? Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, the follow-up to Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 2: Innocent Sin, asks that thought-provoking question in a compelling narrative. Unfortunately, while the believably written characters and philosophical plot manage to delight beyond the sands of time, Eternal Punishment’s PSP remake suffers from dated gameplay mechanics that make playing it a trial in patience.
