Mount Enterprise football standout Kaegan Ash has committed to Texas Tech. The rising senior made the pledge to be a future Red Raider during a campus visit this weekend, a week after receiving his offer to play linebacker at a Texas Tech camp. This was Ash's first Power Four offer. He's also received offers from four Ivy League colleges, along with Army, Navy, Air Force and Washington State as well as other in-state offers from Texas State, Texas-El Paso, Stephen F. Austin and Texas-San Antonio.

Class 2A Division II state finalist Overton had nine players receive 19-2A All-District awards including Offensive Player of the Year honors for junior Rylan Holleman for the 2025 season. District champions Harleton earned four superlative selections including Most Valuable Player to Carson Wallace, Defensive Player of the Year to Mason Clark, Newcomer of the Year to Lucas Townlin and Coach of the Year honors for DJ Beck. Aiden Brantley of Beckville was named Pitcher of the Year.
