Henderson played three tough games against Community in their 4A Division 1 area contest, starting with a 6-4 loss on May 1, persevering for a 12-10 win in 10 innings for game two the same night and then losing 5-4 in nine innings on May 3.

    CARTHAGE — The Tatum Eagles (21-10) rallied mid-game but watched their lead slip away late for a 9-4 loss to the Liberty-Eylau Leopards (28-4) in their Class 3A Division 1 area series opener on Thursday. The Leopards picked up two runs quickly with a double and single from Triston Haugh and Gabe James in the top of the first.

    CARTHAGE — The Mt. Enterprise Wildcats' ended their season in the Class 2A Division 1 area round of the playoffs with 11-0 and 11-3 losses to Shelbyville on Wednesday and Thursday. The Wildcats were trailing by six runs heading into the bottom of the fifth of game two on Thursday. With walks and or batters getting hit by pitches they loaded up the bases and Aadin Alsup and Aiden Rogers each drew walks to score their first two runs. Lucas Burkhardt got hit by a pitch, driving in their third run.

    BULLARD — Rylan Holleman struck out eight and the trio of Brody Brown, Braxton Harper and Mason Rowe drove in two runs apiece to lead the Overton Mustangs in a 11-1 win over the James Bowie Pirates in game one of their Class 2A Division 2 area playoff series on Thursday. Holleman hit a triple that drove in Overton's first run in the bottom of the first and threw all five innings, allowing just two hits and walking three.
