Let's keep this one simple. Actually, it'd be hard to find a floor plan that's much simpler than this one. It's not unusual to see tiny house plans with modern style. But this little ADU design stands out with a bold look and just 400 square feet. It's basically a very attractive box. The overhang of the front wall partially defines the side patio to create some outdoor living. The wood accents stand out against the clean, stark facade. Inside, it's just a simple open studio plan.

A stone-covered arch welcomes visitors to the front porch. Note how the garage is tucked away to the side, so it doesn't ruin the effect.

Some designers also speculate that more transitional styles will rise. This new plan skirts the line between barndominium and modern. See interior views here. The exterior presents ultra-clean lines and overall simplicity, but with subtle details that elevate the design.

On the exterior, what the designer describes as "a blend of contemporary lines and cozy cottage aesthetics" results in quite a bit of visual interest. Note the single-car garage for each unit. The main level showcases an open layout that provides ample storage.
