Instead of going through a risky surgery, Carr opted to retire. He's retiring as a Saint, but that's not the team that he'll be remembered for.

Between the draft and undrafted free agency, the team has added 26 rookies to the roster. That's nearly half of the roster spots the Raiders can have during the regular season. One name who won't be returning is wide receiver Jeff Foreman. Las Vegas announced that they've waived Foreman with a failed physical designation.

The New Orleans Saints announced on Saturday that Carr has decided to retire from the NFL. He could've undergone shoulder surgery, but that wasn't a guarantee to get him 100% again. Instead, he'd rather walk away from football. Though he retires as a Saint, Carr's ties to the Las Vegas Raiders run deep.

After a couple of years of uncertainty at quarterback, the Las Vegas Raiders have committed to Geno Smith for at least two seasons. Aidan O’Connell has started 17 games for the team across the last two years despite not being the Week 1 starter either season. Barring injury, he shouldn’t start going forward with Smith at the helm. That has led to there being some questions about his status with the team. The Athletic even reported that O’Connell could’ve been traded during draft weekend.
