Sherman, Texas — Dr. Michael Imhoff, retired Austin College Professor of Chemistry and Vice President for Academic Affairs, passed away after a sudden severe case of pancreatitis on December 29, 2024, in Denver, Colorado, where he was spending the holidays with his family. Born in Los Angeles, California, on December 4, 1942, Imhoff graduated from San Gabriel High School in 1960.

Sherman, Texas — Austin College President Emeritus Dr. Oscar C. Page passed away peacefully Saturday morning, November 23, 2024, surrounded by his beloved wife, Anna Laura, and his family. Dr. Page, who had faced health challenges this fall, leaves behind a profound legacy as a leader, mentor, and cherished member of the Austin College community. A celebration of Dr. Page’s life will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Austin College in Wynne Chapel.

Sherman, Texas -- Austin College is happy to announce the annualChristmas Pops Concertperformed by the Sherman Symphony Orchestra (SSO), promising to be a highlight of the holiday season. The performance will be held on campus in the Sid Richardson Center on Saturday and Sunday, December 7 & 8, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. The event is open to the public with $5 tickets for children and students and $20 tickets for adults. Sherman, Texas — The Board of Directors of Alpha Lambda Delta announced on September 30, 2024, that Tuongvy Ha ’25 has been awarded a Jo Anne J. Trow Undergraduate Scholarship of $6000 for the 2024-25 academic year. Ha is one of only five national recipients of the largest Trow Scholarships offered and is the first Austin College recipient of any Alpha Lambda Delta (ALD) award.
