Another Great Day, Rain Possible

PEORIA (25News Now) -Temperatures will remain in the 80s yet again here today for a pretty comfortable day to get outside yet again. The 80s will continue for the rest of the week, until the weekend where highs cool down to the 70s again. Thursday may be hot however as highs are forecast to hit the 90s for the first time this year. Rain is possible over the next few days with today bringing in some lighter showers and possible storms this evening.

PEORIA (25News Now) -We continue to see sunny and stable weather continue for the next few days and temperatures remain in the 80s. It’ll be mostly comfortable if not a bit too warm until we get to Wednesday where we approach 90, then Thursday we’re forecast to jump over 90 degrees. While we will cool back down next weekend, be prepared for the 90s as we get a flash of summer.

PEORIA (25News Now) -Plenty of sunshine today all across central Illinois which will warm things up all day long. Around this time of year we usually see the low 70s which makes for some pretty comfortable afternoons. Today and the rest of this week however are a bit different. 80s have settled in and will stick around for the week and weekend. If you’re standing in the sun, the heat index could approach 90 so bring some water if you have some outdoor activities planned.

PEORIA (25News Now) - After a nice and sunny day today, cooler temperatures are going to move in tonight as we drop down to the 40s and even the 30s in a few spots so bring the jacket and be prepared for the cold if you’re staying out late. While the sunny skies will stick with us, the cool temperatures will not. Over the weekend we’re jumping up in temperature to well above normal levels. Average highs this time of year are around 71 degrees.

PEORIA (25News Now) - Clouds will stick around a while today with mainly overcast skies for the morning and early afternoon. Clouds should break up and give us some scattered rays of sunshine The clouds will return later on tonight. Some rain showers are trying to develop through the morning hours this morning as well. If a rain shower moves into our area, it’ll bring some light rainfall then move out quickly. Rain chances should end by the afternoon.

Rain is slowly making it’s way in from our east as a storm system is moving westward, a bit unusual. Rain showers will eventually move in later this evening and into tomorrow morning. Highs will be into the 60s which is a bit below our average of 70 degrees for this time of year.

PEORIA (25News Now) -Today will be an overcast day for us with plenty of cloud cover and cooler temperatures as our highs don’t quite reach the 60s. Rain showers are possible this afternoon and those showers look to be on the lighter side with only light to moderate rainfall possible. Our average temperature for this time of year is right at 70 and we won’t get close today. Tomorrow we get a bit closer but we’ll have to wait until Tuesday to reach it.

PEORIA (25News Now) - Plenty of sunshine today as we make our way through the morning and afternoon hours. Temperatures will get up into the low 70s for a comfortable day. The forecast changes tomorrow however. Temperatures jump to 86 on Monday, nearing the 90s for a very warm if not hot day, then the storms move in later that night. We have a chance of some severe weather through the night, mainly after 9 PM. All hazards are possible with Monday’s storms so be prepared just in case.

Showers and storms are likely this morning bringing in some moderate rainfall and likely some thunder. There is a chance we see some dry time in the later afternoon and early evening but showers are still possible all day long. If you plan to use any dry time that we see, keep the umbrella handy just in case.

PEORIA (25News Now) - We’ve had some good showers and even some storms in the past few hours across the area but the rain looks to end across central Illinois by the afternoon. Rain chances will continue but are not very likely until we get to tomorrow. Unfortunately, there is some bad news about our holiday as it looks to be a wash out. Multiple rounds of rainfall are forecast all culminating in a threat of severe weather later on into the evening.
