    INDIANAPOLIS — At least one person was killed in a crash on the east side of Indianapolis Monday night. According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 10000 block of East Washington Street around 9:42 p.m. to investigate a personal injury crash. When police arrived at the scene, they confirmed at least one person had died in the crash. IMPD’s fatal crash investigators responded to the scene to examine the crash.

    INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Fever selected three players in Monday night's WNBA Draft. The Fever had two picks in the second round and one in the third round. Indiana selected Makayla Timpson, Bree Hall and Yvonne Ejim with the 19th, 20th and 33rd overall picks, respectively. The Fever did not have a pick in the first round of this year's draft. Per a February release from the Fever, Indiana sent the No. 8 overall pick in the draft to the Connecticut Sun during a four-team trade.

Competitive eater and Westfield native Joey Chestnut won the 2024 St. Elmo Shrimp Cocktail Eating Contest in downtown Indianapolis on Saturday afternoon. Chestnut ate a record 21 pounds of shrimp during the contest. Before Saturday, Chestnut hadn't won the event since 2021.
