The Auburn Tigers ended spring practice with their usual A-Day festivities. One player that many Auburn fans came to see was true freshman quarterback Deuce Knight, who joined in January as part of the 2025 recruiting class. He was only one of two five-star players in that class. With starting quarterback Jackson Arnold out with a leg injury, Knight took all of the first-team reps. The fans that showed up at Jordan-Hare were treated to a show that featured a lot of his raw talent.

While the Auburn Tigers had plenty of recruits visit during last week's Big Cat Weekend, one recruit stands out due to his status as a current commit in the class. 2026 safety Wayne Henry, after pledging to the program last August, reaffirmed his pledge and is 100 percent committed to the Tigers' process, according to Auburn Rivals. "They’re building a blueprint, so it's showing I got to come here and set a high standard for the next people that come here from my school," Henry said.

The Naismith College Player of the Year finalist had one of the best years in recent memory and led the Tigers to their second Final Four appearance in program history. However, without any more eligibility, the Auburn big man is heading to the NBA.

Tigers’ head coach Hugh Freeze was impressed with things as they headed into the scrimmage, particularly on defense defensive line. “These defensive linemen are going to be really good,” Freeze said.

The No. 11 Auburn Tigers (23-10) have survived their weekday game against the No. 18 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (26-7), winning 9-8 in Atlanta. It is the Tigers' first win dating back to the second game of the Kentucky Wildcats series on March 22 (10 games, six road games).
