Senate Bill 110 passed the Oregon Senate 24-5 on Thursday, April 17, a measure aimed at helping fund a potential Major League Baseball stadium in Portland. Backers of the bill, nicknamed as a “jock tax,” believe it will bring in $800 million to help fund the new stadium that the Portland Diamond Project has designed on the old Zidell Yards space between the Tilikum Crossing and Ross Island bridges on the west side of the South Waterfront.

Wells High School and its natural dirt and grass field next door to the high school at Rieke Elementary School. So when the sun does shine for a little bit, the Guardians have to make the most of it. And so far in 2025 they have, as seen by a 6-7 overall record and a 3-3 mark in the PIL.

Head coach Chauncey Billups and general manager Joe Cronin have both received extensions to end the 2024-2025 season, which is something that not many thought was going to come to harvest back in January.

The Chauncey Billups experience will continue with the Portland Trail Blazers as the team announced Sunday morning it has reached a contract extension with the current head coach. Billups has gone 116-211 in his four seasons at the helm, a 35.5 winning percentage, and has never guided Portland to the postseason. However, that hasn’t been the goal for most of Billups tenure with the organization valuing high draft picks.
