Lieutenant Sutton is an Advanced Division Officer Course instructor at Surface Warfare Schools Command in Newport, Rhode Island. He is a 2023 graduate of the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS), where he received a master’s degree in regional security studies with a focus on East Asia and the Indo-Pacific. Prior to attending NPS, he served as the strike officer on board the USS Bulkeley (DDG-84) and as antisubmarine warfare officer on board the USS Curtis Wilbur (DDG-54).
