As Noah Luch ’24 neared the end of his time at Princeton, he knew he “wanted to make sure [he] did something that was really lasting and impactful.” As the chair of the Undergraduate Student Government (USG) Mental Health Committee at the time, he thought back to an issue that had been bugging him since he started: mental health copays. On July 12, University Health Services (UHS) announced several changes to coverage through the Student Health Plan (SHP).

Beginning this semester, students will purchase textbooks and other required course materials through the new eCampus Online Bookstore platform. Students have reported experiencing order delays from the new online bookstore and expressed concern over potential long processing times in the mailroom at Frist Campus Center.

Beginning Aug. 1, the copay for mental health visits in the Exclusive Provider Network (EPN) for students enrolled in the Student Health Plan (SHP) was reduced from $20 to $10 for the 2024–25 Plan Year. The plan also now completely covers the cost of EPN initial therapist consultations, meaning students on the plan can begin mental health care with an off-campus provider.

Seven alumni have been elected to serve on the 2024-25 Board of Trustees, the University announced Friday, June 28. With seven other trustees expected to complete their terms on June 30, the size of the Board remains at 37 members.

The Baccalaureate ceremony and 2024 Class Day, held on Sunday, May 26 and Monday, May 27, respectively, were two of many events that brought an end to the college experiences of the Class of 2024. At these ceremonies, students, friends, and families gathered to celebrate the achievements of a class which first experienced Princeton virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic. Graduation events began on Sunday, May 26 with the University’s 277th Baccalaureate ceremony.
