With the start of Saint Patrick’s Day traditions, people have many ways of trying to become more lucky. With this holiday, many people who are Irish or of Irish origin are considered to be really lucky people, which is the origin of the saying “luck of the Irish.” Luck is the phenomenon and belief that defines the experience of improbable events. This can be bad or good. I believe that this phenomenon is true and happens in everyday life, to everyone in the world.
Choirs prepare for Evening of Show Choir concert

Carmel choirs prepare for the upcoming Evening of Show Choir concert on March 13 and 14. The show for students and staff only will be on March 13, and the general public show will be on March 14. This will take place in the Dale E. Graham Auditorium at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the Carmel choirs events page, tickets will be $10-$20. According to choir director Kathrine Kouns, Accents, Ambassadors, Allegro and New Edition will all perform in the show.

Coordinators for the Bruno Mars concert, which is scheduled to arrive in the United States next month, won’t be allowing recording devices for the concert. Mars is part of a growing number of artists, including Bob Dylan, Beyonce, and The Lumineers, who have begun this practice. But phones at concerts help keep the memories alive and are a way for you to look back on the great times you had when at the event.

Opposing column: The new Hunger Games movies have better development

Overall, the new movie “The Hunger Games: Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes” is better than the original films. It gives audiences so much more insight and information about what is really happening during the movie and why the Hunger Games themselves really started. The new movie focuses on President Snow when he was younger and his fading lineage, following his journey on how this is overcome.
Carmel choirs to perform in Holiday Spectacular shows this week

December 5, 2023 Carmel choirs have been preparing for the annual Holiday Spectacular show “A Light in the Dark.” Shows start this week and perform from Dec. 6 to 10, tickets are available at the Carmel choirs website as well as show times. Choir director Kathrine Kouns said she is always excited for the choirs to perform and ready for this year’s performance. All the choirs start rehearsals early in Oct. to prepare for the big show.
Accents prepare for Princess Academy in November

The Accents are preparing for their annual Princess Academy on Nov. 4. The time for this event is not yet determined. This is an event where Accent members dress up as princesses and take pictures, sing songs, dance, make crafts, and play games, with four to eight-year-olds. Head of choirs Kathrine Kouns said she is always excited about these choir events. The Accents currently need more volunteers for this event as they have 300 participants so far.

I have recently been going to Dunkin’ a lot more to get coffee, instead of where I usually go, Starbucks. Many people say that one is better than the other. I could agree on that a bit now since I made the switch, but not fully and here’s why. Dunkin’ makes great coffee and has multiple options for making your own iced coffee and picking the flavors.
