I’m backing a pair of Toronto Blue Jays to perform as they open a three-game series against the Houston Astros on Monday. The pregame narrative: Kevin Gausman gets the ball for the Blue Jays, and he’s been stellar so far. I expect the righty to work deep into the ballgame and am also backing George Springer to stay hot at the plate. Check out my Blue Jays picks vs. Astros for April 21. Best Bet: Gausman over 18.5 outs (+118)Gausman is off to a hot start after a disappointing 2024 season.

Two all-star hitters and one pitcher are the focus of Tuesday’s MLB prop bets. The pregame narrative: Kyle Tucker is on fire and faces a pitcher who is over-indexing, while Bryce Harper gets an A-plus matchup against Justin Verlander. I’m also backing Tampa Bay’s Ryan Pepiot to shove against the Boston Red Sox. Check out the best MLB prop bets for April 15.

The Boston Celtics continue their Western Conference road trip when they battle the Sacramento Kings on Monday. The pregame narrative: Boston played yesterday and several of its starters are questionable. It looks like Derrick White and Kristaps Porzingis are playing, though, and they’re the backbone of this +400 wager. Check out my Celtics vs. Kings SGP predictions for March 24.

Two guards headline Sunday’s NBA prop bets. The pregame narrative: Russell Westbrook will have an outsized opportunity to produce against the Houston Rockets with Nikola Jokic sidelined — but I’m still fading his lofty PRA total. Elsewhere, back Quentin Grimes and Jalen Duren. Check out the best NBA prop bets for March 23. Best bet: Westbrook under 29.5 PRA (-118)Westbrook is averaging 12.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 6.3 assists this season, putting him well below this total.

The PGA Tour heads to Innisbrook Resort for the Valspar Championship. The latest: Rory McIlroy beat out J.J. Spaun to win the Players in an electric Monday playoff. He’s not playing this week but several big names headline the Valspar field, including favourite Tommy Fleetwood and two-time major champ Xander Schauffele. Sepp Straka is my best bet to win. Check out my Valspar Championship predictions for the PGA Tour tournament beginning on March 19.

Hand up, was wrong here

Hart and Haliburton are on complete opposite ends of the “dawg in him” spectrum. One guy is ready to die for every board and the other doesn’t even want to sniff the paint or take a shot.
