Capcom has continued its endeavour to restore and preserve its fighting game legacy. As it did with the previous Fighting Collection and Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, the company has brought together eight classic titles that — unless you have access to the original hardware —you can’t legally play anywhere else. Capcom Fighting Collection 2 presents some titles that aren’t very well-known if you haven’t played Capcom’s entire 90s game library.

There are two things that fighting game players love about team games: cool systems focused on synergy and big rosters. Some of the most beloved titles in the sub-genre, like Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, and Capcom vs. SNK 2, each have over 40 unique characters to play with. More recent examples, such as Dragon Ball FighterZ and Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle, weren’t so warmly received at first due to their ‘limited’ character selection (24 and 20, respectively).

In Moroi, your nameless character starts in a prison cell with no memories of where he is or what happened. You make a few steps, and you find a giant talking machine called Royal Meat Grinder. It wants to have a taste of you, so you kindly enter its mouth. After a few seconds, it is on fire, with blood coming out of its mouth, talking in ones and zeroes, and it gives you an item. In another cell, a prisoner is eating one of their arms.

Tekken 8 Season 2 arrived earlier this week, and in less than 24 hours, the game was negatively review-bombed on Steam. Pro players from around the world have been sharing hundreds of clips showing almost every character on the roster doing ridiculous combos. Some of them started creating memes about the death of the game, while others took it more seriously and shared their desire to stop playing entirely.

With nature and wildlife at her side, Elena dances into #StreetFighter6 on June 5, the same day the Years 1-2 Fighters Edition arrives! 🤸🏾♀️ Like a meerkat, stay alert and keep an eye out on our channels for her gameplay trailer coming soon. https://t.co/Al1DPctevs

This video singlehandedly ruined modern fighting games https://t.co/C4KHKf1Hsx
