Highlights•Severe obesity and elevated blood neutrophils associate with uncontrolled asthma. •Particularly blood neutrophils≥5*109/L associate with step 4–5 treatment. •Preventive measures targeting obesity may benefit patients with adult-onset asthma. AbstractAdult-onset asthma is associated with a poor treatment response. The aim was to study associations between clinical characteristics, asthma control and treatment in adult-onset asthma.
