Avengers: Doomsday is currently on track to hit theaters on December 18, 2026. The film will be set 14 months after Thunderbolts* (2025), bringing together multiple hero groups across several universes to face Doctor Doom. The cast is massive, including Robert Downey Jr., Pedro Pascal, Simu Liu, Rebecca Romijn, Florence Pugh,Tom Hiddleston, Chris Hemsworth, Winston Duke, and Sir Patrick Stewart. Hamill wrapped up his comments with a humorous statement, “And by the way, when I disappeared in [The Last Jedi], I left my robes behind. And there’s no way I’m gonna appear as a naked Force ghost. I’m just letting you know that right now.” Hamill is pretty much done with his role as the Jedi and looks toward a future focusing on new stories.
