    Authorities in the southern Chinese city of Zhuhai on Tuesday said 35 people were killed and another 43 were injured when a car ploughed into people exercising around a sports centre. A suspect has been taken into custody, and President Xi Jinping has urged all-out efforts to treat the injured. Local police said that a "serious and vicious attack" occurred at Zhuhai Sports Centre on Monday evening. Police said a man drove an SUV through the gate and forced his way into the sports centre.

    President Xi Jinping met his Indonesian counterpart Prabowo Subianto in Beijing on Saturday, according to Xinhua news agency. The newly sworn-in Indonesian leader landed in China on Friday, kicking off his first overseas tour seeking a more prominent position for Jakarta on the world stage.     President Xi Jinping will travel to Peru and Brazil next week for meetings of APEC and the G20, Beijing's foreign ministry said on Friday. Xi will go to Lima from November 13 to 17 and Rio de Janeiro from November 17 to 21, foreign ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said in a statement. In Peru, Xi will "attend the 31st APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting and pay a state visit", Hua said.
