The ban of the song of Eedris Abdulkareem by the National Broadcasting Commission was another negative publicity for Nigeria and its democracy. In a letter dated April 9, 2025, the NBC tagged the new song by Abdulkareem titled “Tell Your Papa” as “inappropriate for broadcast due to its objectionable nature”. It, therefore, classified the song as “Not To Be Broadcast”, noting that “it violates Section 3.1.8 of the Nigeria Broadcasting Code”.
