PEORIA (25News Now) - Our forecast will remain on repeat one more day with smoky sunshine and warmer temperatures. Today will be the hottest day we see this week highs reaching the mid to upper 80’s as southerly winds up to 20 miles per hour help funnel warmer air into Central Illinois. Smoke will gradually clear tonight into Tuesday as a cold front approaches from the west Tuesday. Most of the day will trend dry before storm chances arrive ahead of the cold front during the evening.

PEORIA (25News Now) - Warmer weather makes a comeback for the end of May after our bout of seasonably cool conditions the last week to week and a half. High pressure will keep our forecast quiet and sunny the next few days. While we will see plenty of sunshine through the weekend, smoke from ongoing wildfires in Canada will make the sky look hazy. Smoke will gradually build today and likely continue through the weekend, bringing slight impacts to our air quality.

A few areas of patchy fog have developed overnight and will continue through the morning commute hours. Be mindful if you do encounter any reductions in visibilities.
