We have designated Saturday through Wednesday of next week as First Alert Weather Days due to the prolonged stretch of intense heat and humidity. An area of low pressure and associated warm front will steadily lift northeast this morning bringing the chance for thunderstorms with it. A better chance for rainfall will arrive during the start of the workday hours into the early afternoon.

We will start off dry and humid as we head out the door for our Tuesday morning. Patchy fog will be possible throughout the morning commute hours, so be mindful if you encounter any reductions in visibility. Temperatures will top out in the upper 80’s to around the 90 degree mark this afternoon as hot, moist air continues to flow into Central Illinois from the southwest.

PEORIA (25News Now) - Our forecast will remain hot and humid over the next several days with highs in the 80’s. While we will remain humid, the main headline early this week will be a few rounds of storm chances. Early this morning, a storm system is slowly sliding east-northeast through southern Illinois. A few showers and a pop up storm or two will be possible today as this system passes to our south, but most will remain dry under mostly cloudy skies.
