    St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Erwin welcomed its new rector, the Rev. Juliana Lindenberg, with a luncheon following the morning service on Sunday.     On Saturday, April 20, two Episcopal churches, Trinity of Fuquay-Varina and St. Stephen’s of Erwin, joined hands to co-host the North Carolina Spring Diocesan Assembly of The Order of the Daughters of the King. It was held at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Erwin.

    When famed organist Carlo Curley played a concert at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church for the 2007 dedication of the upgrading and renovation of the church’s 1941 Austin organ, he spoke of St. Stephen’s as a “pocket cathedral.” On Sunday, April 14, when the Raleigh Convocation Choir sang the Anglican office of Evening Prayer in an afternoon concert at the church, visitors and church members realized that the promise of experiencing cathedral music in Erwin had come to fruition.
