    Lawyers representing Rosemary Kiiza Omamteker, the proprietor of Entebbe Junior School, have petitioned the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Jane Frances Abodo, alleging foul play in a land dispute, worth sh500m. Omamteker is battling over the land with businesswoman Peace Barigye. The land in question measuring approximately 0.028 hectares (0.071 acres) is located on Plot 31A at Uringi Crescent in Busiro County, Entebbe Municipality.

    ________________Eight Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party Katonga faction members including Kira Municipality MP Ssemujju Nganda have been charged at the Buganda Road Court in Kampala. They were charged for allegedly staging a protest over the arrest of four-time presidential candidate Dr Kiiza Besigye. Others are Ingrid Turinawe Kamatene, 51; Masurudin Basalirwa, 38; Abdul Bukenya Ssebyala, 39; Nobert Chaku, 47; Zalikah Mutesi, 37; Faridah Nangonzi, 38 and Hillary Atwongirwe, 22.

    ________________The Kampala City Hall court has dismissed a case against three civil society activists who took part in an unlawful assembly. In July, the activists were arrested from Hotel Elyana in Ntinda, Kampala in connection with the anti-corruption protests held in the city.

    __________________The hearing of a case in which Molly Katanga is accused of murdering her husband, businessman Henry Katanga, has been postponed to next week due to the absence of the trial judge, Isaac Muwata. The notice of the Judge’s absence was communicated to defence lawyers, state prosecutors, and the accused on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. Digital forensic examiner AIP Enock Kanene, the tenth prosecution witness, was set to continue testifying.
