Today was a special day for us at The Hands Of Rescue, and a diversion from the usual medical retrieval missions we get called upon to do as part of our safe motherhood program. Today, we were delivering a much-needed wheel chair to Mr. Kemoa Kaileledi in a village 4 mile east of Alotau. Kemoa suffered a Cerebral Vascular Accident (CVA), or stroke in layman’s terms, about 4 years ago and has been confined to a bed ever since.

Of course. Wadele is on the North coast of Ferguson Island and can be difficult to land there on the water at times due to wind shear from the surrounding high mountains.
