    Reaching out with hope is the general idea behind Pauls Valley’s first ever Pride Day event this weekend in the local Wacker Park. Jacob Jeffery of Rural Oklahoma Pride says yes there will be “fun” activities, music, games and guest speakers, but the gathering planned from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 1 is also about providing some hope to those in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in the Pauls Valley area.

    It’s only a start for Garvin County as it joins a list of other Oklahoma counties applying for grant funding meant to address opioid and other drug related problems.
