Sunday morning TV is for cosy company; for anything-but-silence to drown out that thumping headache or the realisation that this is your last day of freedom before another working week. It’s no place for primetime dramas or award-winning thrills. If I switch on the TV on this sacred day, I want gentle, undemanding background noise that’s vaguely enjoyable and not in the slightest bit hard to follow. And yet, somehow, Sunday Brunch doesn’t even meet this incryedibly low bar.
