In July 2019, as part of a previous study looking at determinants of children’s mental health and well-being [9], we recruited 100 children (and their parents) from three Paediatric Diabetes Centres in Kuwait. Children and their parents were selected by a nurse and approached during their regular visits.

The TME comprises cellular and non-cellular components, each significantly impacting cancer prognosis. The cellular components of the TME include a diverse array of immune cells like T-cells, B-cells, natural killer (NK) cells, macrophages, neutrophils, and dendritic cells. These immune cells have been indicated to have effects on cancer prognosis by the increase or suppression of their immunities by the modified lipid metabolism in the TME, as will be illustrated in the following context.
