This sad reality of the workforce urges us to look deeper into the lack of training opportunities and understand what employees actually want. 1 INTRODUCTION Kidney stone disease is responsible for a significant clinical and economic burden among US adults, affecting 11% of adults with annual medical costs exceeding $10 billion.1 Patients with symptomatic ureteral stones ≤10 mm are typically managed with pain control, medical expulsive therapy (MET), and serial imaging to monitor stone position and assess for hydronephrosis. However, spontaneous passage of larger or proximal stones is uncommon.
